A Message for the Republicans of District 8

In the summer of 2024, most American voters saw a televised debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. As even his supporters will admit, Biden was terrible. Obviously, he was way, WAY past his prime.

I, myself, was a Biden supporter… up until that sad debate. Yes, I am a Democrat, but first and foremost, I’m an American. and therefore had to agree with the Republicans: Biden was simply unfit to lead the nation for another four years.

Now, here we are in 2026, and the situation is not even the same; it’s WORSE because Trump has another two years to serve out his term.

So let me be direct with the Republicans of District 8: What are YOU, first and foremost? Are you a Republican first, and an American second?... or is it the other way around?

By now, you must be aware of Trump’s personal issues. You know that he is a stinking, decrepit mess -- and yes, I mean that LITERALLY. He Is a LITERALLY stinking, LITERALLY decrepit human being who should be tucked away in an assisted living center.

But the reality is that he’s got another two years, and there’s not a damned thing you can do about it… right? WRONG! 

You may be a Republican in District 8, but you can still register your displeasure by voting for Laura Jones this November.

What’s that you say? You don’t like her policies? You’re against Medicare For All? You don’t want to raise taxes on extremely wealthy people? Well, that’s fine. I fully support your right to reject her values. 

After all, that’s the American Way. What is NOT the American Way is to start a war without the approval of Congress. And it’s NOT the American Way to demolish part of the White House without seeking Congressional approval. Etc., etc. 

This is not “Law and Order”, as staunch Republicans usually understand the term. Frankly, Trump’s behavior is nothing less than “Lawlessness and Disorder”.

But this blog post is not really about Trump; it’s about Jessica Hart Steinmann, who supports ALL of Trump’s insanity. She’s the Trumpiest Trumpie, and that is why you should reject her candidacy. As a Republican, you may not like the idea of supporting Laura, but I urge you to put your country first. Do what you can to put a brake on Trump’s wild behavior. I ask you to REJECT Steinmann in November and vote FOR Laura Jones.
