Disqualified

This is my 38th and final blog post in support of Laura Jones for Congress from the 8th Congressional District here in Texas.

I've covered a variety of topics since the summer of 2025, but in this last post, I'll focus on just one.

Wednesday, January 7th, 2026:

In a lengthy interview with 4 reporters from the New York Times, Donald Trump was asked if there are any limits on his exercise of power around the world. Trump replied: "Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It's the only thing that can stop me."

Saturday, October 3rd, 2026:

At a campaign rally held in Vandalia, Ohio, Donald Trump made the following statement:

"I know more about everything than anyone in this room, anybody anywhere in the world."

Let's cut to the chase, Dear Readers: These statements are cold, hard evidence that a madman is now President of the United States.

And how does that relate to our upcoming election?

It simply boils down to this: One candidate supports the madman, while the other does not.

I now realize that I didn't need to do all that detailed analysis of Steinmann's policy positions. My writing and her positions count for nothing.

At this point, there is only one thing that matters.

We have a crazy person in the driver's seat and Jessica Steinmann supports him.

That immediately disqualifies her as a candidate, in my view. You should not vote for her. You don't have to vote for Laura Jones, although, obviously, I wish you would.

But the main thing is: Do not give your precious, precious vote to ANY person who is willing to enable that troubled man in that supremely important office.

And with that, I wish you the best. Thank you and goodbye.
