Affordability

Recently, Community Impact newspaper published an article about the two women who are running for office in the upcoming election. Both hope to replace Morgan Luttrell as District 8's Congressional representative.

Here's how Jessica Steinmann replied to the question "What would your top priorities be if elected?"

Answer: "My top priority will be making life more affordable for Texas families...."

That seems like a worthy response... until you consider the major CAUSES of our economic woe. Maybe Jess needs to focus on WHY affordability is such a big topic these days:

-- Fuel and fertilizer are expensive because Trump started an unauthorized war with Iran.

-- Plywood and aluminum are expensive because Trump jacked up tariffs on these and other Canadian products.

-- New homes are expensive because Trump chased off all the skilled Hispanic construction workers.

Etcetera.

So, there's a problem with Jessie's plan to make stuff more affordable: To do that, she would have to get real about the true SOURCE of our mess, and that she will not do.

Remember: She's put the words "Trump-Endorsed" on all of her campaign merchandise and every square inch of her website.

Can you picture her opposition to ANY Trump proposal whatsoever?
