AI vs. the Young People of District 8

Dario Amodei.

Does that name ring a bell? Even if you've never heard of him, you will soon be living under the weight of his prediction... and maybe already are.

Dario Amodei is the CEO of Anthropic, the company that created an AI system known as Claude. If you've used even the free version of that platform, you know how amazingly powerful it is.

Now, about that prediction...

On multiple occasions, Mr. Amodei has warned that artificial intelligence could eliminate up to 50% of entry-level white-collar jobs. He stated this displacement could increase overall unemployment by 10% to 20% within a one-to-five-year window, having its heaviest impact on fields like tech, finance, law, and consulting.

Question: How does this relate to Laura Jones?

Answer: It's one very big reason why she supports Medicare For All.

If you're between the ages of 18 to maybe 26, you're probably starting your career. For many of you, that means seeking a position in some kind of white-collar field. (Looking at you, young residents of The Woodlands.)

Do I need to say how bad the job market already is? No... but maybe I should emphasize that the party is just getting started. The job market for young professionals is going downhill from here, and will soon change the economy in every part of our country... INCLUDING DISTRICT 8.

Traditionally, Americans have gotten health care insurance from their employers. But what happens when "you ain't got no employer"? If you're in that situation, then... you have a problem. My advice is: Don't get sick, and don't get into any kind of accident, 'cause there's hell to pay if you do.

Laura knows that starting a career at this point is no joke. Paying for health care insurance should be the least of your worries.

Even if you're a registered Republican, you MUST do what's right for you and your family. When you take care of your needs for medical insurance, you're taking care of business. 

Laura Jones doesn't need you to like HER. She needs you to like YOU.
