Calling All Independents

I understand the Democrats. They HATE his guts.

I understand the Republicans. They LOVE his guts.

But...

the people who fascinate me the most are Independents, and especially the ones who voted for Trump.

So... what does it mean to declare yourself NOT as a Republican, and NOT as a Democrat, but rather as an INDEPENDENT, meaning that you're not loyal to EITHER party. First and foremost: You want to see what kind of deal they're offering, and you don't want to be taken for granted by ANY organized political party! PERIOD. THE END.

OK, that's cool. I totally understand, AND (as a matter of fact) I've used that "Independent" word to describe myself, from time to time. (Coke vs. Pepsi? Hmmm... I can't decide!)

But now, let me take the perspective of Independent voters, and then ask how these people might be feeling about their big decision, made way back in 2024.

HERE'S A LIST

He promised cheaper groceries.

He delivered tariffs, which made everything more expensive, including groceries.

He promised no new wars.

He delivered a shooting war in the Middle East.

He promised cheaper gas.

He delivered a shooting war in the Middle East, which increased the price of gas.

He promised to reveal the Epstein files.

He fought the release every step of the way.

He promised to deport the undocumented.

He delivered cruelty and public unrest... as well as a few murders.

He promised the creation of new jobs.

Nah.

Anyway, you know all this, and you also know there's a lot more that I DIDN'T put on that list.

NEVERTHELESS, even dealing with just these few items, I will simply ask the Independents:

Did you get a good deal? Do you feel good or at least OK about the choice you made two years ago?

I bet I know the answer to these questions.
