Unhappy Voters, Part 2
Updated: Sep 6

Are you unhappy with the way things are going these days?
Wait... let me guess...
SURE YOU ARE!
EVERYBODY is, including the most ardent Trump fans. Go find me someone who will HONESTLY say "Yes, things couldn't be better!" If there is such a person, he or she is not keeping up with current events.
At this point, we don't even need a list of what's wrong; you know every item on that list all too well.
The question is: What are YOU going to do about it? You can vote for Laura Jones, but will that change anything? Given that we have a House with 435 voting members, who knows what will happen?
Realistically speaking, we have no influence on the citizens of Teaneck, New Jersey; or Missoula, Montana; or Honolulu, Hawaii, etc. All we can do is focus on the Eighth Congressional District here in Texas.
If you translate 1/435th into a percentage, you get 0.0022988506, meaning that District 8 controls less than a quarter of one percent of what goes on in the House of Representatives.
So, are we getting all worked up over a trivial matter?
The answer is: We live in a divided country. The Republicans have imposed a lot of really bad governance on us with a margin that only amounts to a handful of votes.
This November, do the right thing. Send someone to Washington who will join with others to check the madness that we've endured for the last 2 years.
