Is Keith Coleman a Republican Plant?

I’ve hesitated to discuss my suspicions in public, but have decided to go ahead and make this statement:

I think Laura’s opponent in this year's Democratic Primary is a Republican plant.

Yes, you read that correctly.

As I’m sure you already know, Texas citizens in the 8th Congressional District will be voting for someone to replace Morgan Lutrell, a Republican Do-Nothing who is stepping down as our current representative in the House.

Keith Coleman wants to be the Democratic Party’s candidate in the November general election, and under normal circumstances, I would say “That’s fine. Let the best candidate win.”

I’m not saying that now, however, because I don’t think this man is a Democrat.

Let me present just two items for your consideration.

1. For starters, he voted in the Republican primary in 2000 and 2022. In 2024, he did not vote in either the Republican or Democratic primary election.

Now, think about that for second. How could any Democrat – and I mean ANY Democrat -- vote Republican in 2022? And that was not even the first time he did such a thing.

Highly suspect, wouldn’t you say? But wait! There’s more…

2. Compare Laura's policy positions to his. For example...

I’ll tell you this right now: If you send her to Congress, she will support Medicare For All.

And what is Coleman’s position? Here’s what he says on his own website:

Healthcare Access

"Promote the improvement of healthcare services and accessibility by prioritizing the unique health requirements of residents in both the bustling urban centers and the more secluded rural areas within District 8. Focus on creating tailored solutions that address the diverse challenges faced by these communities, ensuring that every individual has access to quality care that meets their specific needs."

Hunh? What? Can anyone tell us what this means? SPECIFICALLY? Many people in District 8 are overwhelmed by medical debt. Even the ones who can afford quality health care are not happy about the absurdly high costs.

Meanwhile, Coleman promises to address this issue by “creating tailored solutions”, meaning he’s not going to do a darned thing about this problem. Why? Because he may well be a secret Republican, and we all know that Republicans work for the insurance companies.

These are just two reasons why I think he’s a plant. Translation: Coleman is someone who’s just there to defeat Laura in the primary so she won’t make noise leading up to the general election in November.
