Lawyer Jess and the Failing DOJ

I ran across some amazing news today.

Did you know about this?: The Department of Justice is now offering a $25,000 sign-on bonus to attract new hires. DOJ is also paying serious extra money to retain their currently employed lawyers; i.e., to keep them from leaving.

Think about that for a moment. This is a US Government agency once known for its integrity and professionalism. Young attorneys longed to be hired by "Main Justice". (A DOJ credential looked mighty good on a résumé!)

But now? Now its reputation is so bad the Department has to bribe new hires to get their attention. And the operative term there is "NEW hire". How new? Young lawyers can apply with "up to 1 year" of experience. In other words: the ink on their diplomas will still be wet.

Why am I bringing this up on the Laura Jones website?

Literally THOUSANDS of lawyers have left the DOJ, either because they were fired, or because they were completely fed up with the Trump administration.

But I know of one lawyer who LOVES Trump World... and can't wait to get closer to it.

You know that person, too. I refer here to Laura's opponent, Jessica Hart Steinmann, whose relationship with Team Trump is at the very center of her candidacy.

And what's wrong with that picture? Well, YOU decide... and then express your opinion when the citizens of District 8 choose a representative.
